Brazil's Minister of Agriculture, Marcos Montes, will embark on a diplomatic mission to South Korea and Japan in the coming week to foster discussions on opening their markets to Brazilian meat. The focus will be on establishing a formal agreement for the export of beef and pork to South Korea, where significant progress has already been made. In Japan, Montes aims to highlight the high standards of Brazilian meat production and the country's effective foot-and-mouth disease management, particularly highlighting the example of Paraná. This initiative is part of Brazil's broader strategy to expand its agricultural market reach, having already secured access to over 210 markets since 2019.
