The Vietnamese market has been opened for Egyptian grape exports, announced Dr. Osama Badir Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation. This follows over five years of negotiations and a successful visit from a Vietnamese Agricultural Quarantine delegation in August. The Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine has agreed to certain plant health controls for the export of Egyptian grapes to Vietnam. Meanwhile, Egypt's agricultural exports have seen a significant increase, reaching over 7.1 million tons and valued at about $4.1 billion from January 1, 2024, to October 30, 2024, an increase of over $1 billion from the previous year.
