Peru's Minister of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, Víctor Maita Frisancho, has announced the resumption of agricultural trade with Bolivia, following an agreement between the Bolivian sanitary and phytosanitary authorities and Peru's National Agrarian Health Service (SENASA). This agreement will allow Peruvian small and medium producers to export products like potatoes, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, grapes, onions, and avocados to Bolivia. The first agreement includes Bolivia's commitment to reissue import permits and maintain border inspections for smooth entry of these products. A meeting is scheduled for October 11 to discuss the resumption of the Binational Plan of Ilo.
