The Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture is planning to increase agricultural and food exports, with a focus on traditional and new markets, particularly in the east and south. Currently, 82.5% of these exports are sent to Western Europe. The Ministry is also emphasizing the need for agricultural logistics, export coordination, and market research. During a press conference, the Deputy State Secretary for International Relations also discussed the potential of Tolna County to become a hub for the food economy. The county has a strong focus on corn and cereal production, but the fruit sector is declining. The Ministry stresses the importance of increasing processing capacity and integrating producers to improve market presence.
