Within the framework of strengthening the program for the prevention and combat of forest fires for the 2025-2026 season, the Minister of Agriculture, Ignacia Fernández, led the presentation of the new Airbus A5332 semi-heavy helicopter, named HC-27, recently incorporated into the aerial fleet of CONAF, at the San Fernando airfield. "The Government of Chile is prepared to face this season of higher occurrence of forest fires. Proof of this is this semi-heavy helicopter with a load and transport capacity four times greater than a normal helicopter, along with a national deployment of 77 aircraft distributed throughout the country, including tanker planes, large and small helicopters, control aircraft, and 319 operational brigades, both day and night, strategically positioned in all regions," affirmed the minister.
