The Minister of Cooperatives in Indonesia, Budi Arie Setiadi, has identified seven challenges in increasing cow's milk production through cooperatives in the country. These challenges include low productivity of dairy cattle due to genetic quality, lack of quality feed and disease, limited infrastructure, financial access, lack of technology knowledge among farmers, unstable milk prices and production costs, competition from imported products, and climate change. To address these challenges, the Ministry of Cooperatives will implement strategies to improve the quality and standardization of local dairy products.
