A new resolution in Peru, numbered 0460-2022-PRODUCE, regulates the toothfish fishing quota and the duration of fishing activities. The quota can be adjusted based on the Institute of the Sea of Peru's (Imarpe) recommendations. Once the quota is reached, fishing activities may cease due to environmental or biological reasons, with the latest possible cessation being December 31, 2023. The Ministry of Production's General Directorate of Supervision, Inspection and Sanction will oversee compliance with these regulations.
