MINSAL issues food alert for Listeria in smoked trout

The Ministry of Health, with the objective of safeguarding the health of the population, reported a Food Alert for Listeria in Cold-Smoked Trout Slice 150 g, by Aqua Austral Ltda., with packaging date 12-12-25 and expiration date 26-12-2025. The sample of the product was taken within the framework of the National Microbiology Surveillance in Food in the Biobío region, and according to the results of the analysis from the Seremi laboratory, the presence of Listeria was detected. It is indicated not to consume the product to people who have products affected by this alert in their homes. The Health Authority is taking the following actions: notifying the manufacturer and marketer of the non-compliant sample; inspecting the manufacturing facility and taking the corresponding actions to withdraw the product from the market.
