Miryang City, known for its strawberry cultivation in Gyeongnam Province, South Korea, has shipped 260 kg of 'Strawberry 1943' to Thailand, marking its first strawberry export. The export was made possible by Miryang Material Co., Ltd., an export quarantine complex where the city has invested, meeting international standards for agricultural product selection, quarantine, and packaging. Miryang aims to export over 200 tons of strawberries annually to Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and Vietnam. The city is one of the leading strawberry producers in Korea, with 1,200 farms covering 540 hectares and producing 17,000 tons of strawberries annually.
