Paraguay's agricultural regions are experiencing varying reproductive services outcomes due to weather conditions, with some areas suffering from drought and others benefiting from rainfall. Despite over 50 millimeters of rain in Ñeembucú, Misiones, and Itapúa, the southern region still faces water shortages due to excess rainfall in April and May. Guido Ferreira, head of Tierra Buena farm, is implementing a strategy of only one pregnancy per year to overcome the drought. The National Animal Health and Quality Service projects a 3-4% drop in stock by 2025, but the primary sector fears a higher decline due to poor services this season. Gustavo Lagioia, the Technical and Commercial Manager of Biogenesis Bagó Paraguay, stresses the importance of using technologies like the IATF for reproductive services to improve herd efficiency and planning, and to overcome weather challenges.
