Moldova has been approved to export processed poultry meat and table eggs to European Union countries, following a successful submission of a Salmonella control program. This decision is part of a series of changes to EU legislation on food-producing animals, products, and composite products, which has also granted approval for meat casings from the United States, roes and caviar from Azerbaijan, and honey from Lebanon. The process of authorizing fresh poultry meat exports from Moldova to the EU is still under discussion.
