Moldova exported a consignment of hazelnuts to Italy for the first time

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova reported that a group of 15 Moldovan farmers sent the first batch of hazelnuts to Italy, MOLDPRES reports. Farmers, under the guidance of specialists from the Euroalun organization, managed to provide products in accordance with the buyer’s requirements and deliver about 23 tons of nuts. “This is the first experience of exporting hazelnuts to Italy. A long-term contract was signed. The buyer is a company engaged in processing nuts for industry. We had experience in exporting to Europe. The first batch included less popular and heterogeneous varieties for the international market, so after a series of negotiations a reliable buyer was found in Italy,” said Euroalun representative Alexander Perzhan.
