Moldovan apricot exports have seen a significant increase, with a 4.5 fold rise from the first half of 2023, reaching 3,689 tons compared to 821 tons during the same period last year. The majority of these exports were directed to Ukraine, Romania, and Poland. This surge in exports is largely due to the resilience and adaptability of Moldovan entrepreneurs, according to the country's Deputy Prime Minister, Dumitru Alaiba. The apricot cultivation sector in Moldova has been undergoing rapid growth, expanding from 4,300 hectares to 4,500 hectares in the same period.
