Moldovan apple traders have diversified their markets away from Russia, which shrank due to the war, by expanding to 32 states in 2022 and exporting over 5,500 tons of apples to the Persian Gulf region. New trade relations with India have also been established, with the first shipment taking more than 40 days to reach Mumbai and Chennai. Moldovan apples, which are properly selected and stored, comply with strict quality assurance system requirements and are available in various varieties.
