Mongolia to start exporting camel milk

A camel milk processing plant is set to open in Umnugovi province in southern Mongolia. The goal is to make it easier for local camel herders to process milk and dairy products, increase milk yields, and provide them with the latest technology and opportunities to expand their farming capabilities. "Since 2021, we have started implementing the Mongol Temee (Mongolian Camel) project. In 2021, we began collaborating with five herders in the Umnugov aimag to create a camel milk farm. However, we came to the conclusion that it was impossible to develop a farm using traditional methods. Therefore, in 2023, we created a camel milk farm together with the FAO. Over the course of a year, we worked to train the camel to regular milking and increase productivity.
