On April 19, 2024, the State Great Khural of Mongolia passed the Law 'On Exemption from Customs Duties', which was followed by the Government of Mongolia's Resolution No. 180 on May 1, 2024. This significant legislative change exempts certain livestock feeds, feed additives, and wheat flour from customs duties, effective from May 1, 2024. The resolution sets a zero customs duty rate for various goods, including feed grains, fodder crops, and specific grades of wheat flour. The implementation of this resolution is assigned to the Ministers of Finance and Food, Agriculture and Light Industry. The primary aim is to stimulate Russian producers, particularly those in border regions, to boost their exports to Mongolia, thereby fostering closer economic ties between the two nations.
