More opposition to the possible sale of Inaler San José meatpacking plant to Minerva: the deal may fall through

Journalist Andrés Oyhenard published on the Tardaguila portal that the possibilities of Minerva's new operation to acquire three Marfrig plants in Uruguay (La Caballada, Colonia, and Inaler San José) and then divest two of them (Colonia to the Indian group Allana immediately and Inaler to a third party within 24 months) are beginning to narrow. According to World Beef Report (WBR), in recent weeks there have been exchanges between leaders of the National Meat Institute (INAC) and members of the Promotion and Defense of Competition Commission (Coprodec), a decentralized body under the aegis of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).
