Russia: More than 1 billion Pacific salmon caviar laid in Sakhalin Oblast

In 2024, the egg laying volume for incubation has seen a significant increase compared to 2023, reaching 1.062 billion pieces. The fish farming campaign on Sakhalin is nearing completion, whereas on the Kuril Islands, it is expected to carry on until mid-November of the same year. The latter island chain has also started its caviar collection in the later half of September.
