Starting August 1, Ukraine has successfully exported 563.3 thousand tons of agricultural products, predominantly corn, via sea routes, as reported by the Turkish TV channel TRT Haber. The report by the Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul details the activity of 36 vessels from August 1 to August 15, which transported a diverse mix of crops including sunflower meal, wheat, soybeans, sunflower oil, and sunflower seeds. These vessels faced minimal disruptions, with 21 departures and 15 arrivals at Ukrainian ports, notably from Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdenny. The destination countries include Turkey (26% of shipments), Iran, Republic of Korea, China, and other European countries, totaling 563,317 tons. The unblocking of Ukrainian ports has already brought significant economic benefits, with projections estimating the total economic impact at $5.5 billion, representing 4.5% of the pessimistic NBU GDP forecast for 2022.
