Researchers at the Azov-Black Sea branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center for Grain Quality Assessment" have conducted a study on over 8,000 pawpaw seedlings of the 'Novokakhovchanka' variety in Crimea. The study confirmed the varietal authenticity of the crop and is part of efforts to understand how it adapts to local conditions. The pawpaw, known for its nutritional benefits, was introduced in the Bakhchisaray region in 2020 and is expected to be ready for industrial harvest in 2026.
