EastFruit reports that the popularity of mangoes among Moroccan consumers is increasing, with the country poised to break its own import record this year. Morocco is not one of the largest mango importers in the world. It ranks 23rd. However, it has one of the fastest growing import figures in the world, after China, Jordan and Brunei. From 2017 to 2022, Moroccan mango imports increased by an average of 15% per year, while the three countries mentioned above saw increases of 30%, 66% and 39% respectively. The United States, the Netherlands and Germany, which together with China are the four largest mango buyers in the world, only saw their imports increase by 4%, 6% and 1% respectively.
