Morocco may set new asparagus export record this season

Morocco has every chance to update its fresh asparagus export record for at least the fourth season in a row, EastFruit reports. In just the first few months of the current season (through March 2024), Morocco exported more asparagus than in similar periods of previous seasons. Thus, from November 2022 to March 2024, Moroccan exporters exported 320 tons of asparagus from the country, while a season earlier during the same period, exports amounted to only 260 tons. Considering that Morocco still has three months left until the end of the current export season, the country has every chance of setting a new record for the supply of these products. Let us recall that Morocco has been actively increasing its exports of fresh asparagus in recent years, although supply volumes are still relatively small.
