Morocco: the argan sector is making considerable progress

Exports of argan oil have increased over the past few years. The argan sector has made considerable progress since the presentation to the Sovereign of the rehabilitation programs of the argan grove and that of argan cultivation respectively, in 2013 and 2020, according to a press release from ANDZOA. Indeed, the combined efforts of stakeholders, in particular the Department of Water and Forests, ANDZOA and the inter-profession, have made it possible to achieve significant results in terms of mobilization of areas and their rehabilitation on 146,000 ha with an average of 20,000 ha per year.
