The agricultural sector in the Moscow region has experienced a significant boost in exports to China, with a 7.7 thousand ton increase in the first seven months of the year compared to the same period in 2020, totaling over 77,000 tons. The export value has also surged to $119 million, marking a $60.9 million increase, as reported by the region's Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The exports consist mainly of meat, fat and oil products, flavoring additives, seasonings, drinks, confectionery, and a smaller volume of dairy products, canned goods, tea, coffee, and ice cream. Meat products alone contribute over 90% of the export value, with a 100% increase, positioning the Moscow region as the leading exporter of meat to China among other Russian regions.
