From 2020 to 2024, the consumption of meat and meat products per capita here increased by 21.6% According to Rosstat, the Moscow region ranked first in the consumption of meat and meat products (including second-category offal and raw fat) among all regions of the Russian Federation - 118 kg per capita in 2024. This is 28.3% higher than the regional average (92 kg) and 43.9% higher than the national average (82 kg). In second place among the subjects of the Russian Federation in terms of meat and meat product consumption is the Republic of Kalmykia - 116 kg, in third place is Pskov region - 112 kg. The top five leaders are rounded out by the Republic of Mari El and Voronezh region - 103 kg each, Kaliningrad region and the Altai Republic - 102 kg per capita per year.
