Muan County (Mayor Kim San) launched a campaign to prevent agricultural machinery traffic accidents during the harvest season at the Muan Traditional Market on the 29th. This campaign was organized to raise awareness of safety and strengthen accident prevention among farmers as the number of agricultural machinery vehicles increases during the peak harvest season, leading to a higher risk of traffic accidents. Although the South Jeolla region has been enforcing a system requiring the attachment of lighting devices to agricultural machinery since 2010, accidents caused by machinery without these devices still occur, and the overall number of accidents has been increasing recently. Therefore, the county aims to widely disseminate the importance of safe operation of agricultural machinery and encourage residents to practice safe driving themselves.
