In 2020, Ukraine saw a 19% increase in mushroom production, reaching 19.1 thousand tons, with the majority of the production being champignons. The country also cultivates other types such as oyster mushrooms, shiitake, and honeysuckle. Despite the increase in production, there was a significant decrease in exports, with only 0.2 thousand tons being exported, a 5 times reduction from the previous year. Moldova and Belarus were the main buyers of Ukrainian mushrooms.
