Myanmar avocado quality declines

According to the Myanmar Avocado Growers, Producers, Exporters and Sellers Association (MAVO), although Myanmar’s avocados have successfully entered new foreign markets, exports this year may drop by about half due to quality issues. ​ A person in charge of MAVO said that although the output of avocados is acceptable, due to more rain this year and the quality has declined, this year's export volume may be reduced by about half compared to last year. Although the basic price is acceptable, farmers are still struggling. Investment in agricultural supplies has not increased, but has been reduced to reduce costs.
