Myanmar has made a significant mark on the international seafood market in the current fiscal year, exporting a total of 9,137,181 metric tons of shrimp via sea routes and generating $33.74 million in revenue. Additionally, through border trade, the country exported 841,673 metric tons of shrimp, bringing in $4.445 million. These exports, reaching over 40 countries including China, Thailand, Bangladesh, and Japan, highlight the global demand for Myanmar's aquatic products. Utilizing major ports like Yangon for sea trade and engaging in border trade, Myanmar has effectively expanded its export channels to neighboring countries.
