According to reports, from April to June this fiscal year, the private sector exported 480.82 metric tons of honey through regular trade, with export earnings reaching $721,000. Among these exports, 279.82 tons of honey were shipped to Japan, valued at $419,730; while 201 tons were exported to Thailand, worth $301,500.
Under normal circumstances, Myanmar honey is primarily exported to countries such as Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and China, with Japan being the largest export destination. Domestically, honey is mainly produced using raw materials like sesame honey, flower honey, and lychee honey.
