The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) predicts that in the 2025-2026 fiscal year (January to December), Myanmar will export 2.2 million tons of rice, an estimated 5% increase from the 2024-2025 fiscal year.

According to the MRF's release, in the first six months, China is the largest single buyer of both rice and broken rice, with the highest purchase volume.
According to Standard & Poor's Global Platts, as of October 31, the price for Myanmar's white rice with 5% broken rice rate was $320 per ton, and the price for B1/B2 grade broken rice was $270 per ton.
