A Mandalay businessman closely related to the aforementioned organization stated that the plan is to export in the form of frozen packaging. He said, "It will be packaged and processed as frozen avocados, with plans to export approximately 200 tons. For this, a processing plant is required, and we have invited India to come and invest."
In addition, it is understood that in order to facilitate the smooth progress of export trade, assistance has been requested from India. Last year, there were also plans to export Burmese-produced avocados to India.
However, it is understood that due to flooding in the avocado planting areas, poor market conditions, and inconvenient transportation, the planned target was not achieved.
In Myanmar, avocado trees are mainly planted in Mandalay Division, Sagaing Division, and Shan State.
