Between April 1 and December 31, 2024, Myanmar achieved significant success in its aquatic product exports, with a total of 5,477.154 metric tons of shrimp and other products exported across various channels. Through normal sea transport, the country exported 5,075.854 metric tons, generating revenue of US$521 million. Additionally, 1,177.17 metric tons were exported via border trade routes, contributing an extra US$21.035 million to the foreign exchange earnings. Myanmar's aquatic product exports reached over 40 countries and regions, including China, Thailand, Bangladesh, and Japan, making it a significant player in the global market.
