(Naju=Yonhap News) Naju City in Jeonnam Province announced on the 26th that it has been finally selected for the 'Livestock Distribution Facilities Modernization Support Project' of Jeonnam Province, aiming to strengthen the competitiveness of its Hanwoo beef brand. Naju City has secured a total of 1.8 billion won (50% provincial budget, 30% city budget, 20% self-funded) and plans to push for the modernization of the livestock market operated by the Naju Livestock Industry Cooperative from January next year until the end of the year. The Naju livestock market is a key distribution facility in Jeonnam Province, where the largest transactions in the province take place. The city plans to improve the distribution environment by expanding and renovating the livestock market and its outdated facilities, and simultaneously strengthen the competitiveness of the 'Naju Deul-ae Chan Hanwoo' brand, which is a key focus for development.
