The city of Namwon in North Jeolla Province held a 'First Export Shipping Ceremony for Namwon Fresh Onions to Taiwan' on the 24th at the Namwon Agricultural Cooperative Agricultural Product Distribution Center (APC), officially resuming exports to Taiwan after a two-year hiatus. The event was attended by approximately 20 people, including Namwon Mayor Choi Gyeong-sik, North Jeolla Provincial Council Member Lee Jeong-lin, Namwon Agricultural Cooperative Branch Director Oh Young-seok, Namwon Agricultural Cooperative Chairman Park Ki-yeol, and other officials and local farmers who celebrated the first export. The onions to be exported total 240 tons and are scheduled to be shipped in 10 batches by early July. The total export value is approximately 144 million won, with the Namwon Cooperative Joint Business Corporation and Namwon Agricultural Cooperative jointly promoting the export.
