Brazil: National cattle and buffalo identification plan strengthens herd protection, says Adapar

The launch of the National Plan for Individual Identification of Cattle and Buffaloes (PNIB), promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa), promises to further strengthen livestock protection in Paraná, according to the president of the Paraná Agricultural Defense Agency (Adapar), Otamir Cesar Martins. The plan, which will be in effect between 2025 and 2032, aims to qualify and improve livestock traceability by implementing an individual identification system for animals, which will allow detailed monitoring of the history, location and trajectory of each animal.
