The week was marked by significant declines in the international soybean market. At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CBOT), grain futures closed the period pressured by a combination of factors: favorable weather for crop development in the United States, ample global supply, and the recent ceasefire between Iran and Israel, which reduced fears of logistical or energy disruptions. According to analyst and consultant Rafael Silveira from Safras & Mercado, prices continue to suffer from the record volume coming from South America. "Brazil has already exported 60.551 million tons of soybeans in the 2024/25 season, and Argentina, 22.337 million. Both still have practically double that available for the market," he explains.
