Nematodes in the production system: mapping by Biosphera and strategy with BPCPs

During the Show Rural, a topic gains prominence in Western Paraná: nematodes continue to impact soybean productivity, even in one of the most tech-savvy regions of Brazilian agriculture. Losses can reach 30% to 50% according to researchers, varying according to population density, edaphoclimatic conditions, and the susceptibility of the cultivars. In recent years, the technical team at Biosphera has conducted dozens of analyses in commercial areas of the region, mapping the recurrent presence of Meloidogyne, Pratylenchus, and Helicotylenchus. A scenario that is not limited to Paraná but that is repeated in the main producing regions of Brazil. The finding is clear: nematodes are part of the current production system.
