Tridge summary

Mango production in Nepal has been increasing steadily over the past few years, with the current fiscal year seeing a production of 12.61 metric tons per hectare. This increase in production has led to a decrease in the price of mangoes, with the wholesale price dropping from Rs 80-90 per kilo to Rs 40-50 per kilo. Despite this increase in production, Nepal still relies on imports from neighboring India and other countries to meet the high demand for fruits due to factors such as limited distribution of fruit saplings and inefficient marketing systems.
