NESDB indicates bright trend in Thai rice prices, exports in first 7 months increase in both volume and value

Ms. Thanyathitha Boonmanikul, Deputy Secretary-General of the Office of Agricultural Economics (OAE), Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, revealed the situation of Thai rice prices and exports this year that there is a good direction. The price of paddy rice that farmers can sell has continuously increased. Including the increase in rice exports, it was found that in the first 9 months (January-September 67), the price of jasmine rice was 14,813 baht per ton on average, up 4.09% from the same period last year. Pathum Thani 1 jasmine rice was 12,486 baht per ton on average, up 7.35%. Glutinous rice was 12,038 baht per ton on average, up 2.98%. And glutinous rice with 15% moisture was 10,908 baht per ton on average, up 3.87%. For rice exports in the 7 months (January-July) 67, there was an increase from the same period of 66 as well.
