Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law setting new rates for fish and seafood catching in inland waters. The rates will be calculated at 4.8% of the average price set by manufacturers. The law also increases the rates for certain fish and crab, while maintaining the previous rates for non-valuable fish species caught for personal consumption. The rates will be subject to indexation from 2025. Preferential rates will be available to town and village forming Russian fisheries organizations and fishing artels until the end of 2027.
