Peterhead Port Authority has set a new record for fish landings, trading over £257 million worth of catches by the end of November, surpassing the previous year's total by over £25 million. This brings the total landings to 219,269 tonnes, valued at £257,288,470. The port, which is Europe's largest fisheries port, has invested over £50 million in facilities and improvements, including a new state-of-the-art fish market and quayside enhancements. The port also maintains its reputation as a center of sustainable seafood excellence, with renewed accreditation from BRCGS and MSC chain of custody status, and was the first UK port to receive Responsible Fishing Port status from Seafish.
