Charles Darwin University (CDU) has been awarded $240,000 from the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations 2023-24 grants to spearhead a project aimed at enhancing the quality of Australian seafood and introducing innovative dragon fruit cropping technologies. The initiative will involve over 70 researchers from both Australia and China, focusing on the exchange of agricultural and aquaculture practices. Australian researchers will contribute their sustainability expertise, while Chinese technologies will support the Australian dragon fruit and aquaculture markets. The project aims to improve environmental practices, enhance product traceability, and address common challenges in the aquaculture sector.
