New white corn cultivar debuts at Rural Show 2026

The Rural Development Institute of Paraná (IDR-Paraná) launches, during the Show Rural Coopavel 2026, the white corn cultivar IPR W225. The event takes place from February 9 to 13 in Cascavel, and the launch ceremony is scheduled for next Thursday, the 12th, in the space maintained by the Institute at the fair. The action integrates the programming presented by IDR-Paraná at the event, as informed by the State Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply (Seab). According to the director of Research and Innovation of IDR-Paraná, Vania Moda Cirino, "the initiative reinforces the commitment of public research to offer genetic solutions aimed at the popcorn, cornmeal, flour, and corn starch industry."
