Ukraine's corn starch exports in August saw a significant decrease of 42% compared to July and an 8% decrease compared to the same period in the previous marketing year, totaling 3.7 thousand tons. The season's overall exports stood at 77.9 thousand tons, marking a 14% decrease from the previous year. The main buyer, Indonesia, reduced its purchases by 34%. Other countries such as the UAE, Malaysia, and Taiwan also decreased their imports. Nigeria emerged as a new significant buyer, ranking fourth among the top importers of Ukrainian starch in the 2020/21 marketing year.
