[Nongsuchuksan Newspaper=Reporter Nara Park] The traditional soju "Yeoyu 40" produced by the agricultural corporation (LLC) Yangchon Yangjo in Yangchon-myeon, Nonsan City (Mayor Baek Sung-hyeon) has won the Grand Prize in the distilled liquor category of the "2025 Korean Traditional Liquor Appraisal." The "Korean Traditional Liquor Appraisal" is the only government-sponsored traditional liquor competition in the country, held since 2010 with the goal of improving the quality of traditional liquors and enhancing the industry's competitiveness. This year's competition saw 402 products submitted by 246 distilleries nationwide, with rigorous judging by liquor experts and a public evaluation panel selecting the winners in each category. The award-winning "Yeoyu 40" was first launched in 1956.
