There is an ongoing outbreak of norovirus from raw oysters that were distributed to 17 states, Washington D.C., and Canada. The oysters were harvested in Nova Scotia, but it is unclear if they were frozen at the time of distribution. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warns consumers and restaurants to not use Fortune brand oysters harvested from NS 10 in Nova Scotia on June 9 and urges those who suspect food poisoning to seek medical care immediately.
