The North Macedonian government has announced the resumption of sunflower oil exports, following a earlier restriction on the export of several food products to prevent a potential shortage. The government stated that domestic production of sunflower oil can meet both local demand and export requirements, and that there is no need to maintain stocks. The decision will take effect on Wednesday. The government had previously placed restrictions on the export of wheat, barley, corn, alfalfa, wheat flour, sunflower seeds, and sunflower oil in early March, and had also removed import duties on sunflower oil until May 31 to control inflation.
