In February, Norway's salmon industry experienced a shift in export trends. Fresh whole salmon exports decreased by 9 percent to 61,765 metric tons, while fresh salmon fillet exports increased by 41 percent to 12,643 metric tons. However, frozen salmon fillet exports fell by 12 percent to 4,819 metric tons. The Norwegian Seafood Council noted that the proportion of salmon fillets in exports, in terms of value, reached an all-time high, accounting for 30 percent.
