In 2020, Norway experienced a significant growth in its agricultural exports, with Germany showing the largest increase in salmon imports by 12%, amounting to 47,724 tons. The total salmon export value reached NOK 11.5 billion in December alone, marking a 7% increase year-on-year. Additionally, trout exports experienced a notable surge, with a 32% increase to 75,135 tons, valued at NOK 6.8 billion. Ukraine emerged as the most promising market, showing an 89% increase in the value of trout imports, reaching 14,315 tons. Overall, the United States, Thailand, and Ukraine were the leading markets for Norway's fish products, with significant growth observed in export values and volumes.
